Canadian rail strike could begin as soon as Aug.22

The CIRB (Canada Industrial Relations Board) ruled today that a work stoppage on the railways would not cause an immediate threat to public health and safety.

With the ruling, CIRB have also imposed a 13-day cooling off period before a strike or lockout could occur, therefore the earliest the strike could occur would be Aug 22, 2024.
