CBSA finds dumping would resume if duties expired on hollow structural sections from Korea and Türkiye.

On September 9, 2024, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its order made in October 2019 concerning the dumping of hollow structural sections originating in or exported from South Korea and Türkiye.

Following the Tribunals decision, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the goods.

The CBSA's investigation has now been completed and the Agency has determined that the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from South Korea and Türkiye.

The CITT will now conduct an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of its order is likely to result in injury to the Canadian industry and has announced that it will issue its decision by July 16, 2025.
