CBSA issues dumping determination on concrete reinforcing bar from Bulgaria, Thailand, and the UAE

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping respecting certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from Bulgaria, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Provisional duties at rates ranging from 2% to 29.4% will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after September 13, 2024.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now formally determine, by January 13, 2025, if the dumping is causing prejudice to Canadian industry.
