The Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most significant traditional holiday in Chinese culture.
In addition to China, it is widely celebrated in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, and Indonesia, marking a festive period beginning on New Year’s Day, which falls on the first day of the first month of the Chinese calendar.
