Notice of Intent to Impose Countermeasures on U.S. Tariffs.

On February 1, 2025, the United States announced tariffs of 10% on Canadian energy imports and 25% on all other Canadian goods, effective March 4, 2025.

In response, Canada has implemented reciprocal 25% tariffs on C$30 billion worth of U.S. goods starting March 4, 2025, and is considering a second round of tariffs on an additional $125 billion of U.S. imports. The Government of Canada is seeking feedback from businesses, stakeholders, and the public on the potential impact of these additional tariffs, with comments accepted until March 25, 2025.
