As advised earlier today by the Port of Montreal, the Longshore Workers Union, representing the Dock Workers at the Port of Montreal (POM), has issued a 72-hour strike notice. The strike is set to begin on Sunday, October 27th at 00:01 and will last for 24 hours.
In light of this, please note the following service impacts:
Saturday, October 26th: CN will cancel intermodal train from Brampton to POM.
Sunday, October 27th: CN will cancel intermodal train from POM to all inland destinations.
Additionally, we are closely monitoring the gate capacity to ensure that customer-specific allocations align with the adjusted outbound train plan. Any changes to POM gate capacity will be communicated in advance to affected customers.
