U.S. Port Strike Ends as Workers Agree to Tentative Deal on Wages and Contract Extension

We are pleased to announce that U.S. dock workers and port operators have reached a tentative agreement to end the three-day strike that disrupted shipping on the U.S. East Coast and Gulf Coast.

This agreement follows negotiations between the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX).

The agreement includes a wage increase of approximately 62%, with both parties agreeing to extend the current master contract until January 15, 2025. This extension will provide time to address any remaining issues through further negotiations.
