U.S. suspends tariffs on CUSMA origin compliant imports from Canada until April 2nd.

The United States announced it agreed to suspend tariffs on CUSMA-compliant imports from Canada until April 2nd.

This covers products that are qualified for preferential entry under the rules of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).

As a result of the U.S. decision, Canada will not proceed with the second wave of tariffs on $125 billion of U.S. products until April 2nd.

The Canadian tariff on $30 billion of goods imported from the United States will remain.
