Update on Tariffs on Imports from Canada, Mexico, and China

As of this morning, based on a recent social media post, President Donald Trump has announced plans to proceed with the implementation of the 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, effective March 4, 2025. This decision follows a one-month delay intended to allow both countries time to address U.S. concerns about cross-border drug trafficking, particularly involving fentanyl. The President cited insufficient progress as the reason for moving forward with these tariffs.

It was also announced that Chinese imports will face an additional 10% tariff, on top of the existing 10% tariff that took effect on February 4, 2025.

This situation is evolving, and further developments may occur as the implementation date approaches. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
